WLF2104 — Wildland Strike Team Leader
This certification-related course contains training for experienced structural firefighters and fire officers to close gaps that exist between their current structural skills and National Wildfire Coordinating Group (NWCG) wildland firefighting skills. The purpose of this course is to train experienced lieutenants, captains, and chief officers who meet NFPA 1021 for Fire Officer 1 or equivalency in making the tactical decisions required to safely manage personnel on a wildland fire as a strike team leader, engine (STEN). This gap course must be taught to NWCG standards for Wildland Training (STEN) for Structural Firefighters , to include course management, course content, prerequisites, and instructor qualifications.
