This course provides a knowledge of the operation of wastewater treatment systems. Students will learn about mechanical and maintenance requirements, activated sludge, solids disposal, lab procedures, wastewater plant security, health & safety, budget & finance, public relations, laws & regulations, etc. This course prepares students for the Water Pollution Control System Operators Certification Commission (WPCSOCC) examination. ***** Prerequisites: Students must have successfully completed Wastewater Operator II and have a working knowledge of algebra and geometry.
