OST3608 — Health Unit Coordinator
This course is designed to introduce the responsibilities involved in the coordination of the non-clinical aspects of the nursing unit or medical facility. Emphasis is placed on transcription of doctors' orders, filing systems, and communication techniques through the use of supplementary skills practice. Upon completion, students should be able to facilitate unit communications and demonstrate an understanding of unit coordinating skills, including chart assembly from admission to discharge.
