This course provides a comprehensive introduction to the legal system and the foundational skills required for entry-level positions in legal offices. Topics include legal terminology, professional ethics, law fundamentals, legal research and writing, roles and responsibilities, litigation processes, and law office operations. This course prepares students for entry level legal office roles and serves as a pathway to the NC State Bar Paralegal certification. There are additional requirements that must be fulfilled to sit for the NC State Bar Paralegal certification exam.
