HRD3800 — Financial Lit for Work
This course introduces essential financial literacy skills to support success in employment and everyday life. Students will learn how to create a personal budget, manage bank accounts, and understand various income types, including hourly wages, salaries, and income from self-employment. Through real-world examples and digital tools, learners will build financial confidence to manage their earnings and expenses effectively. Learning objectives include: 1) creating and managing a basic monthly budget; 2) understanding paycheck components, including taxes and deductions; 3) using online and mobile banking tools to manage accounts; and 4) identifying spending habits and making informed financial decisions.
