HRD3406 — Pathways Transp Or Logistics
This course explores career opportunities in transportation, distribution, and logistics. Students will gain insight into job positions such as truck driving, aviation, UAS/drone operation, automotive repair, warehouse operations, fleet coordination, and material handling. The course introduces industry-required certifications, workplace expectations, and entry-level competencies while helping learners develop a personalized career plan. Emphasis is placed on safety, reliability, and digital tools used in today's transportation and logistics environments. Learning Objectives: 1) Identify a range of transportation and logistics occupations, including commercial driving, warehousing, and distribution; 2) understand entry-level skills such as equipment operation, scheduling, and safety protocols; 3) explore credentials such as Commercial Driver's License (CDL), forklift certification, and DOT requirements; 4) create a career and training roadmap aligned with transportation and logistics opportunities.
