CST221 — Statics/Structures

This course covers the basic concepts of statics and strength of materials related to building structures. Topics include span charts, dimensional framing requirements, building forces on columns, beams, girders, and footings and connection points when timber, steel, and concrete members are used. Upon completion, students should be familiar with various load conditions present in structural members.

Prerequisites: ARC-112, MAT-110, MAT-121, MAT-171, CAR-112, CST-112
