COS3206C2 — Cosmetology Instructor Trng II

This course is designed to provide the necessary skills to meet the instructional requirements to current licensed cosmetologists who are interested in becoming licensed cosmetic arts instructors. Theory topics include practical demonstrations, lesson planning, lecture techniques, development and administration of assessment tools, record keeping, and other related topics. Practical topics include practical demonstrations, supervision, and advanced student assessment. This is a parallel course to the curriculum COS-273 and COS-274 courses and is completed in a curriculum environment. Successful graduates of the Cosmetology Instructor Level I and Level II courses will be eligible to apply and sit for the NC State Board of Cosmetic Art Examiners written and practical licensure exams for Cosmetology Instructors. ***** Required Materials/Supplies: A uniform, textbook and kit are required. ***** Prerequisite: Cosmetology Instructor I
