CJC3934 — SMI Operator Initial
This certification-related course is designed to provide knowledge and skills used by criminal justice personnel who are authorized to use approved speed measuring instruments to include RADAR and LIDAR used by their agencies. Lecture, demonstration, and practical field exercises are the principal methods of instruction. Employment in the field of criminal justice and authorization of the employing agency are among the prerequisites for enrollment. This course is not to exceed four weeks. Content must meet the standards of the North Carolina Criminal Justice Education and Training Standards Commission as outlined in the North Carolina Administrative Code and related policy documents. Topics may include certification and supplemental training related to any approved speed measuring instruments to include RADAR and LIDAR.
