BSP3400 — ABE Literacy 4
This course is designed to prepare students functioning academically below a college level to transition to job training, workforce, or post-secondary education. This course contextualizes academic skills listed below to either occupations, workforce preparation, or career exploration and is aligned to college and career readiness standards. Students will be able to summarize and analyze central ideas, including how they are conveyed through particular details in the text. Students will also be able to use technology to produce and publish writing and link to and cite sources. Students will be able to demonstrate the ability to locate and organize information, assess the credibility and accuracy of each source, and communicate the data and conclusions of others while avoiding plagiarism. The content of the course is based on the NRS High Intermediate Level Descriptors and aligned to the NCCC Adult Education Content Standards for ABE Level 4 students.
