This course enables students to consult with new and existing landowners and homeowners finding the designs and pathways toward meeting the owners needs within the limits of their land and wallet. Through a range of topics, students will be empowered to become knowledgeable in assisting the waves of new land and homeowners coming to the area. Reading the landscape, identifying the attributes and resources, placement and design of settlement areas including home design and landscape, utilizing local resources, species identification, and renewable energy and batteries. Field trips to distinct examples of homesteads designed for contented human existence are incorporated to enhance learning.
