Hands-on application of EMS skills and knowledge in a supervised, pre-hospital emergency setting, with an emphasis on demonstrating diagnostic and advanced emergency treatment skills to care for acutely ill and seriously injured patients. Competences covered include further development of diagnostic and advanced emergency treatment skills, professional communications with patients, their families, hospital and fire personnel, and improved speed and accuracy of delivery of lifesaving patient analysis and intervention care procedures..
