DMS273L — Advanced Sonography Applications Laboratory
Provides hands-on experience to complement the theoretical concepts covered in DMS273. This lab focuses on advanced sonographic techniques and emerging trends in the field of diagnostic medical sonography. Students will have the opportunity to practice a wide range of advanced applications, including interventional, surgical, portable, vascular, pediatric, musculoskeletal, breast, and prostate/male pelvis imaging. The lab emphasizes the development of clinical skills in performing and interpreting complex sonographic exams, with a focus on improving imaging quality, optimizing procedural techniques, and applying best practices for diverse patient populations. Students will also explore the use of emerging technologies and their impact on the future of sonography, ensuring they are prepared to meet the evolving demands of the healthcare industry.
