This course provides knowledge and skills necessary to perform electrical repairs, installations, adjustments, and service. The subject area includes alternators, generators, voltage regulation, and paralleling of generators. The student will be introduced to the operational principles of auxiliary power units. This course is required by the Federal Aviation Administration Administration under 14 CFR Part 147 for those pursuing a mechanic certificate with a powerplant rating.
