EGR 232 - Chemical Engineering Thermodynamics EGR 232 - Chemical Engineering Thermodynamics 3 credits Introduces the first and second laws of thermodynamics; energy conservation; concepts of equilibrium, temperature, energy, and entropy; partial molar properties; pure component and mixture equations of state; processes involving energy transfer as work and heat; reversibility and irreversibility; and closed and open sstems and cyclic processes. Lecture: 3 hours per week. An additional career and technical education course specific fee of $25.00 per credit hour applies to this course. The price is discounted 50% to $12.50 per credit hour for the 2026-27 academic year only.
