ARC 246 - Materials and Methods of Construction ARC 246 - Materials and Methods of Construction 4 credits Introduces the characteristics of building materials and the methods of construction in which these materials are used in the erection of structures. Introduces the physical properties of steel, concrete, timber, glass and related materials as well as methods used in testing materials. All CSI divisions are discussed. Lecture: 3 hours. Laboratory: 3 hours. Total: 6 hours per week. An additional career and technical education course specific fee of $25.00 per credit hour applies to this course. The price is discounted 50% to $12.50 per credit hour for the 2026-27 academic year only.
