MAC 157 — Mechanisms II. (3 Credits)

Teaches techniques for disassembly, inspection, alignment and reassembly of industrial machinery. Includes hands on activities involving alignment of motor and pump shaft; tension of multi-belt sheaves; and the setting of end play and backlash in a gear box. Includes instruction on bearings involving the proper assembly and disassembly. Lecture 2 hours per week. Laboratory 3 hours per week. Total 5 hours per week. Prerequisite: MAC 156 .
