HIS 281 — History of Virginia. (3 Credits)

Explores the cultural, economic, political, and religious history of Virginia from pre-contact to the present. Includes diverse perspectives to emphasize the significant contributions different groups of people (African Americans, Indigenous Peoples, European-Americans, Women) made to the history of Virginia, the colonies, and the United States. Lecture 3 hours per week. Total 3 hours per week.
