IPP-225 — Interpreting in Specialized Settings

This course explores interpreting in a range of specialized settings, including educational, video relay, performing arts, vocational environments, medical, and mental health. Emphasis is placed on professional standards, ethical decision-making, setting-specific protocols, and advanced preparation strategies, including field-based experiences that support observation and reflection on the unique challenges within each context. Upon completion, students should be able to demonstrate increased competence and adaptability when interpreting in specialized settings.
