NRS 221 - Nursing in Chronic Illness II and End of Life Care NRS 221 - Nursing in Chronic Illness II and End of Life Care Credits - 9 Lecture - 5 Lab - 1 Clinical - 3 This course builds upon Nursing in Chronic Illness I, with a focus on mental health conditions and end-of-life nursing care. In this course, learners will apply clinical judgment using person-centered care practices in caring for people with chronic physical and/or mental health conditions that affect functional status and may impact important relationships. Legal and ethical aspects of care are incorporated to guide evidence-based, person-centered nursing care. The course includes classroom and clinical learning experiences. This course may precede or follow Nursing in Acute Care II. Term(s) all Course Designation: C/T Elective - A maximum of 12 credits of college-level career and technical courses may be used as electives in the A.A.O.T. and the A.A.S. degrees.
