MTH070D — Graphing, Linear Equations, and Geometry

MTH 070D - Graphing, Linear Equations, and Geometry MTH 070D - Graphing, Linear Equations, and Geometry Credits - 1 Lecture - 1 This course is on the Calculus pathway for students preparing for a science or technical degree, or who will need Precalculus for their degree. Building on adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing with integers, fractions, and decimals, students will simplify algebraic expressions and progress to solving equations and inequalities with variables. Students will study order of operations, ratios and proportions, real-life applications with measurement, graphing and topics in geometry, and performing arithmetic with polynomials. Use of a graphing utility will also be explored. Students will demonstrate knowledge of mathematical concepts presented through computation, application, and clear communication of solutions. Prerequisite: MTH 025
