IST 131 - Industrial Safety IST 131 - Industrial Safety Credits - 3 Lecture - 3 This class introduces common industrial safety topics. Learn how to recognize and protect yourself and your colleagues from workplace hazards. Lockout/Tagout, electrical safety, personal protective equipment, confined space entry, hazardous materials awareness, Human Performance Improvement, and safety data sheets are among the many topics covered in this course. This course meets OSHA requirements for awareness training of the safety topics covered and is not intended to replace any company and/or site-specific OSHA-required training. Course Designation: C/T Elective - A maximum of 12 credits of college-level career and technical courses may be used as electives in the A.A.O.T. and the A.A.S. degrees.
