HST 104 - World History I HST 104 - World History I Credits - 4 Lecture - 4 This world history survey utilizes a global approach to exploring the origin and diffusion of cultures and civilizations, including Asia, Africa, Middle East, Mediterranean, Europe, and the Americas, from approximately 8000 B.C.E. - 500 C.E. Emphasis will be placed on understanding their worldview, what they valued, their relationship to others and their environment, and how these perspectives provide insight into our 21st century world. Recommended preparation: WR 060 or higher NOTE: HST104, HST105, and HST106 do not have to be taken in sequence. Course Designation: Discipline Studies - A transferable course that meets distribution (group) requirements in the Associate of Arts Oregon Transfer (A.A.O.T.) degree and the Associate of Science (A.S.) degree. Note: Courses meeting distribution requirements may always be used as electives in the transfer degrees. Meets Cultural Literacy requirement. Meets Social Science requirement.
