ENVS 101 - Introduction to Environmental Science ENVS 101 - Introduction to Environmental Science Credits - 4 Lecture - 3 Lab - 1 This one-term non-majors science course fulfills the lab science requirements for the AAOT. This interdisciplinary course investigates chemical, geological, and biological systems as they directly relate to issues of sustainability. Topics include nutrient cycles, energy, geography, atmospheric and oceanic circulation, biological communities, distributions of biomes, agriculture, and climate change. Recommended preparation: MTH 062 or higher recommended Term(s) inter, Spring Course Designation: Discipline Studies - A transferable course that meets distribution (group) requirements in the Associate of Arts Oregon Transfer (A.A.O.T.) degree and the Associate of Science (A.S.) degree. Note: Courses meeting distribution requirements may always be used as electives in the transfer degrees. Meets Science general education requirement. Meets Lab Science requirement.
