EMT 153 - Emergency Medical Technician Basic Part A+B EMT 153 - Emergency Medical Technician Basic Part A+B Credits - 12 Lecture - 9 Lecture/Lab - 3 Instruction at the level of Emergency Medical Technician. Includes all skills necessary for the individual to provide emergency medical care as outlined by the scope of practice established by the Oregon Medical Board. Serves as a one-term expedited course that meets national and state EMS training program requirements. Students will have two years from the completion of this course to pass their state certification test, or this course will need to be retaken. Students may be eligible for credit for prior learning for this course if they possess current Oregon state EMT certification. Term(s) all Course Designation: C/T Elective - A maximum of 12 credits of college-level career and technical courses may be used as electives in the A.A.O.T. and the A.A.S. degrees.
