ECE 240 - Curriculum/Planning ECE 240 - Curriculum/Planning Credits - 3 Lecture - 3 This course focuses on designing curriculum for young children using the principles of developmentally appropriate practice and constructivist learning theory. Students will apply the components of constructivism to the design of early childhood curriculum while also examining inclusive classroom practice. Using Pyramid Model, students will learn to create accessible, inclusive, and culturally responsive learning centers and materials that promote belonging and support all children including children with special needs. Emphasis is placed on applying theory to practice in early childhood settings based on children’s needs, interests, and cultural relevancy. Term(s) inter Course Designation: C/T Elective - A maximum of 12 credits of college-level career and technical courses may be used as electives in the A.A.O.T. and the A.A.S. degrees.
