ECE 226 - Child Development ECE 226 - Child Development Credits - 3 Lecture - 3 This course covers child development from birth through age eight, with a focused emphasis on social-emotional development across each developmental stage. Students will examine major developmental theories, stages of development, and age-appropriate social-emotional behaviors to better understand typical and emerging patterns of development. Using the Pyramid Model as a framework, students will learn strategies to intentionally support social-emotional development in young children. This course serves as the foundation for the Early Childhood Education program. Term(s) inter Course Designation: C/T Elective - A maximum of 12 credits of college-level career and technical courses may be used as electives in the A.A.O.T. and the A.A.S. degrees.
