ECE 111 - Introduction to ECE Environments ECE 111 - Introduction to ECE Environments Credits - 3 Lecture - 3 This course introduces early learning environments and trauma-informed practices supported by the Pyramid Model, emphasizing the development of quality early childhood educational experiences. Students will develop awareness of self and colleagues, extending to the intentional design of program environments that support the well-being of children, families, and staff. Emphasis is placed on principals of developmentally appropriate early learning environment design that support growth and development in all domains of learning to include trauma informed care. Parameters of quality environmental development are explored including state and federal governing regulations. Term(s) all Course Designation: C/T Elective - A maximum of 12 credits of college-level career and technical courses may be used as electives in the A.A.O.T. and the A.A.S. degrees.
