RES 2003 — Cardiopulmonary Anatomy and Physiology

Prerequisites: ~BIOL 2004, Human Anatomy & Physiology and Lab, And ~BIOL 2414, Human A&P II and Lab. Study of anatomy and physiology of the respiratory and circulatory systems are explored in detail. Emphasis will be on the interaction of systems in gas exchange, acid-base balance and oxygen transport. The structure and function of the chest wall, mechanics of breathing, and control of respiration are also included.
