An introduction to the use of politics for the resolution of conflict in communities, nations, and the international system through the study of political concepts and relationships, with application to current problems. ~POSC 2103 United States Government 3 credits Prerequisite: ACT Reading score of 19+, Next Gen Accuplacer Reading score of 253+, or completion of READ 0033 with a grade of “C” or higher. Survey course which asks students to examine the fundamentals and functions of the United States Government and to discuss and debate basic public policy issues. Students gain a better understanding and perspective of the government, the obligations of citizens and their relationship to the government of the United States.
