HIT153 — Operational Standards for Health Care Delivery Systems

2 credits This course includes a review of health care delivery systems. Course focus is on information management practices of agencies that provide health services in ambulatory care, home health care, hospice, long term care, mental health, and other alternate care systems. Students’ competency includes the ability to describe and contrast the structure of health services in relation to operational and accrediting agency standards, and the role of the health information practitioner in each of these settings.
