RT121 — Radiographic Physics I

4 CR This course is designed to establish a knowledge base in atomic structure and terminology. Included are the nature and characteristics of radiation, x-ray production and the fundamentals of photon interactions with matter. An introduction to the principles of radiation protection is included. Lab activities will provide application for the course theories.

Prerequisites: RT101, RT112, RT120
