HT100 — Fundamentals of Medical Terminology

5 CR The student will gain a basic knowledge of medical word building. The course will address root words, prefixes and suffixes and terms which are used in diagnostic, operative, and symptoms relating to the various systems of the body. Emphasis on correct spelling and pronunciation of selected common eponyms. ACCUPLACER Next Gen Writing or higher OR ENGL 092 with a C or higher.
