ELCN125 — Electrical Applied Mechanics
4 CR This course introduces students to a variety of hand and power tools, fasteners, and other essential components an Electrician uses in the field on a daily basis. Students will utilize practical math skills to calculate the mechanical advantage when using simple and complex machines. Students will also utilize geometry and trigonometry to solve construction related scenarios. Completion Of or Concurrent Enrollment In: ELCN 100, ELCN 101, ELCN 103, ELCN 131 and AMATH 100, all with a D or higher; or concurrent enrollment in ELCN 100, ELCN 101, ELCN 103, ELCN 131 and AMATH 100; or Instructor permission. Note: This class must be taken concurrently with ELCN 100, ELCN 101, ELCN 103, ELCN 131 and AMATH 100.
