RAIT358 — Principles of Nuclear Medicine Physics

3 CR Covers the basic principles and practices of nuclear medicine, with emphasis on concepts of physiologic imaging, radioactivity, radiation detection, and radiation safety. Designed for individuals with prior certification in radiography or radiation therapy who wish to become certified in positron emission tomography (PET). Should be taken before beginning clinical experience in PET. This course is intended to meet the degree requirements of the Technology concentration as well as the requirements of the Positron Emission Tomography certificate of the Radiation & Imaging Sciences program.
