PSYC260 — Psychosocial Issues in Healthcare
5 CR This course explores the determinants of health and illness including social, psychological, environmental, spiritual, and cultural dimensions across the lifespan and within the context of healthcare. Students become familiarized with the social and psychological attributes contributing to individual, familial and community level functioning, and how it shapes health providers’ perception and expression. Allows for application of concepts from previous courses in psychology and sociology to the direct care of clients in various healthcare settings. Recommended: NURS 125 Course
