1 CR A fitness course to assist students with their personal exercise goals related to advanced strength and resistance training within the campus fitness center . This course introduces the principles of increasing levels of strength, power, hypertrophy, speed, or agility. Topics covered will be FITT principle and Specificity of Training as related to drop sets, tempo, supersets, pyramids, pauses, and negatives. Olympic lifting, powerlifting, kettlebells, barbell (clean, power clean, and snatch) may be some of the techniques or equipment used. The student in this course is involved in active participation, attends weekly classes, tracks progress, and works with the instructor on goals and form. This is an activity class only. Grade Scale: A (4.0)/ Satisfactory (2.0)/ Unsatisfactory (0.0). Course
