2 CR This course s students build strong, respectful relationships by exploring the qualities of healthy personal connections. Students will learn to recognize emotional responses, practice active listening, and use non-violent communication to resolve conflicts. Through discussions and real-life scenarios, students will develop essential skills for maintaining healthy and meaningful relationships. Course is graded Credit/No Credit. Identify personal signs of emotional dysregulation, including physical feelings and thoughts. Apply active listening strategies to scenarios involving friends, family, and romantic partners. Use non-violent communication strategies to resolve conflicts in personal relationships. Describe the stages of the dating process, including attraction, uncertainty, commitment, intimacy, and engagement. Define “consent” and describe ways to obtain consent in intimate interactions.
