4 CR Formerly NURS 233X . This course provides students an understanding of normal and abnormal developmental and physiological cues of obstetric clients, neonates and their families. Students apply concepts of standardized communication tools to advocate for culturally appropriate patient-centered care. Students gain confidence in articulating nursing priorities, developing clinical reasoning and clinical judgment while continuing reflective practice.
