NURS249 — Care of the Client within Their Environment

4 CR Previously NURS 253 This course provides students the chance to experience the realm of behavioral health nursing and the well-being of the mind while simultaneously exploring health promotion and care for individuals and families in the context of their diverse environments. It integrates concepts of social determinants of health, population health and behavioral health to guide the provision of care. Throughout the course, students will develop the confidence to articulate nursing priorities, foster clinical judgment, and engage in reflective practice, with a particular focus on the mental and emotional aspects of health.
