MBS470 — Patents for Scientists and Engineers
2 CR Patent applications are filed to protect inventions, designs, intellectual property, etc. This course provides an overview of patent law with an emphasis on science and engineering careers, as well as business technology and entrepreneurial careers. Topics include the four basic forms of intellectual property, patents and patentability, patent challenges and litigation, drafting and prosecuting a patent application, and elements of licensing intellectual property.
