5 CR The practice of caring for patients in healthcare has been greatly impacted by information technology, especially with the widespread acceptance of electronic health records. This course introduces concepts and skills for nurses, patient care providers, and informaticists to understand how to acquire and document patient data, retrieve and manage available electronic resources, and summarize the types of available sources and modalities such as the electronic health records (EHR) healthcare information technology (HIT), and other diagnostic devices.
