5 CR Previously PROG 113. Expands upon the fundamentals covered in DEV 111 . Covers object oriented programming concepts using C++. Other topics include: program specification, design of abstract data types and classes, inheritance, polymorphism, encapsulation, and using the Standard Template Library. Placement by assessment into ENGL 101 , or completion of ENGL 92 or ENGL 93 with a C or better. Course
