ART206 — History of Photography Theory and Criticism
5 CR Examines the role photography has played reflecting and shaping culture from its emergence in the 19th century to the digital revolution currently underway. Emphasizes what it means to photograph, to be photographed, and to view photographers as part of an audience. Students make a few photographs of their own along the way (some using a cell phone).
