5 CR This class examines activist art from 1909 to today by exploring the relationship between the visual arts and social justice campaigns. We will explore how art speaks to us (the viewer) and how art speaks for the artist (the maker). Projects include examining significant artworks as well as creating activist art that reflects past and present global circumstances. Course
