CJUS1200 — Legal Issues in Corrections

This course studies state and federal law related to corrections. Particular emphasis is placed on constitutional issues and remedies for violations of rights. Students will gain insights into a wide range of policy considerations behind corrections laws and administrative procedures. Leading cases and court decisions will be discussed at length and their impact on corrections explored. Prerequisite(s): CJUS 1100
