NURS 1210 — Gerontological Nursing 2 Credit Hours
This course is designed to explore issues related to aging adults. Course content addresses the impact of ageism, alterations in physiological and psychosocial functioning, and the role of the practical nurse in caring for older adult clients across a continuum of care. Prerequisite: NURS 1255 Medical Surgical Nursing I AND NURS 1206 Fundamentals of Nursing AND NURS 1207 Mental Health I AND NURS 1228 Pharmacology for Nurses Admission to Nursing Program
