NAID 1229 — Nursing Home Aide 5 Credit Hours
This course is designed to enhance basic care-giving skills, human under- standing and attitude, all of which are necessary to render services to residents of an adult care facility. Emphasis is placed on the normal needs of the geriatric resident and specific individual physical, psychosocial, environmental and spiritual needs. Students completing this course with a minimum grade of “C” will be allowed to sit for the Kansas CNA State Certification Examination and receive a Barton certificate fo completion. Prerequisite: Meets college level reading assessment.
