MUSI 1028 — Harmony III 3 Credit Hours
Harmony III is the third in a sequence of four music theory courses designed for students highly interested in music. This course includes a study of modulation to closely related keys, binary and ternary forms, less common chord progressions and part-writing procedures, diatonic seventh chords, borrowed chords, secondary dominants and leading tone chords, and non-dominant diminished seventh chords. Keyboard application of course work is integrated with class piano laboratory work. Harmony III is required for all music majors and taken concurrently with Aural Skills III. Prerequisite: MUSI 1022 Harmony II
