MUSI 1022 — Harmony II 3 Credit Hours

Harmony II is the second in a sequence of four music theory courses for students highly interested in music. This course includes a study of all diatonic triads and their inversions, the dominant and supertonic seventh chords, introduction to modulation techniques, and secondary dominant functions. Keyboard application of course work is integrated with class piano laboratory work. Harmony II is required for all music majors and taken concurrently with Aural Skills II. Prerequisite: MUSI 1018 Harmony I
